We are dedicated to work on behalf of our members and the business community in and beyond the Barnesville Area.
As a Chamber we offer many exciting networking opportunities such as:
Monthly Chamber Meetings provide you with a chance to join forces with other Business and professional individuals and organizations. Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Wednesday. Locations and times vary, as we schedule morning and afternoon meetings which help encourage participation and attendance. Many of our members use these meetings as a way to increase business by informing attendees of their current news or gaining leads to further their business with other members.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies are offered to any new business to the Barnesville Area. Whether you are opening a new business, changing names, ownership, or location you can take advantage of having a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at your business. Ribbon Cuttings provide social opportunity to help members gain member-to-member leads and information. It is also useful for a business to showcase who they are, and become chamber members, as well as the community inside your place of business.
The Chamber helps make connections to other members as well as perspective customers by providing Advertisement Opportunities. Take a look at these opportunities you can take advantage of as a Chamber Member.
Chamber Newsletter which is distributed to all of our members (130+) and to Community Members. Members may insert flyers into the newsletter for $25.00 to have them distributed out to each of our members. Non-Members may take advantage of this also for $45.00. We can even place ads digitally into our newsletter or even help you announce news from your business right in our newsletter.
News from our Members is located on our website and may be included in our Newsletter publication. Our Members can have any current news about your business or organization on our website. This will also be included in our public/member only E-Newsletter blast email. Spots and availability are first come, first serve so submit your news as soon as possible to the Chamber Office to participate.
Website Advertising is currently available to our members that want an advertising spot. This is provided to you as a Chamber Member. Members can contact the Chamber Office for more information.
E-Newsletter Blasts have become a new way to get the word out in reference to your business or organization. Like the member only E-Newsletter, we will open a public sector to be able to send our E-Newsletters to anyone who has signed up on our website. Instead of sharing email addresses or vital information with our business members, we want to be able to offer the chance for our members to take part in the E-Newsletter. New businesses, randomly picked businesses, news from our members, events, Chamber news, job opportunities, and current deals submitted to our site will appear in the public E-Newsletter blasts. Most spots are first come, first serve opportunities. So submit your info early to be included. Our Member-to-Member blast will help you keep in the loop of current happenings and will include: letter from the president, chamber news, events, news from our members, new member welcome, randomly featured businesses, and member-to-member deal offerings that are available. We will even send you an email reminder of meetings that has the option to RSVP to the meeting.
Our Chamber provides various sponsorship opportunities in which you can take part in as a Chamber Member.
Barnesville Brochure is published annually. This brochure is distributed out of the Chamber Office, Chamber Member Locations, Tourism Offices, Businesses, and Hotels. The guide is the ultimate information for those interested in visiting Barnesville and used by locals to gain vital Community Information and Contacts. As a Chamber Member your information is submitted to the brochure for the Chamber Directory Listing.
Meet The Ohio Valley guide is published annually by the Times Leader. The guide is distributed to local Chamber Offices in Belmont County as well as tourism offices, hotels, area businesses, and via the newspaper. As a Chamber Member we submit your information to be included in the guide. This includes: business or organization name, address and contact details. Advertisement opportunities are also available in this guide for anyone wishing to participate.
Become a Meeting Host for one of our monthly meetings. Opportunities to host a Chamber Meeting are readily available for the following calendar year. Being a host has many added benefits such as getting fellow members together inside your place of business, speaking opportunities to be able to inform all those in attendance of your business or services, may offer tours of your facility, and helps get your business name out there as the Chamber promotes the meeting. If you are interested in hosting a meeting, contact the Chamber Office. You may choose a morning or afternoon meeting.

What we do for you
The Chamber does a lot for our Business and Individual members. Here is a run down of what we do for you and how we help increase your business.
Barnesville Brochure is produced annually. As a member the Chamber designs this brochure and it contains your business information and contact details directly to the guide. The brochure is then published and distributed to the Chamber Office, various Chamber Member locations, Community locations, Tourism Offices, other Chamber Offices, and to hotels. From this point they are picked up by those interested in Barnesville. The Chamber will even mail these brochures to those that request them for "relocation" packets or tourism information for our Village.
Meet The Ohio Valley is a guide that is produced annually. As a Chamber Member we submit your business information and contact details to be included in the guide. They are published and distributed to local chamber offices, businesses, tourism offices, hotels, and in the Times Leader Newspaper. Those interested in the Ohio Valley will be able to explore various parts of Belmont County in the guide and businesses in each town represented in the booklet.
Referrals are given to those interested in particular businesses in the Barnesville Area. The Chamber Office receives various calls through the year on those interested in particular products or services, we promote and gives referrals to our Chamber Member Locations. Those interested in Barnesville can also contact the Chamber Office by using the request information link on the site, thus giving us an opportunity to see which service or business matches their request, in which we can send the request out to our Chamber Members that can better assist them.
Promoting our Chamber Members is a priority. We want to help you gain more business by being a Chamber Member. We promote each of our Chamber Members in distributed publications, on our website, and at various Chamber Events that we hold annually. We provide many opportunities for businesses and organizations to take part in promoting your brand.
What we do for the Community
The Barnesville Chamber of Commerce cares about the community in which we serve.
Barnesville Brochure is distributed at locations within the community and at each Chamber Event. These guides help the community gain connections and vital information such as utility, government, business, and public service contacts. It also contains information in and surrounding the Community.
Barnesville Community Spring Banquet is held the annually last Thursday in April. At the banquet you will enjoy delightful appetizers and dinner before listening to a prominent speaker chosen by the Chamber Board and end the evening with an electrifying auction and door prizes. We also present our Community awards.
Fun in the Ville is hosted by the Chamber during the months of May, June, July & August during the evening as a way to encourage our chamber members to showcase their business in the downtown. Each event incorporates a theme to make it fun for the community and brings in multiple food trucks during the events. This event also is used to showcase our downtown shops and to shop local!
Barnesville Pumpkin Festival is always held annually the last full weekend of September. Each year the festival attracts thousands of people from in and out of the area to participate in the fun activities. Such as: Antique and Classic Car Show, Craft Displays, Farm Machinery, Hog Calling, Quilts, Pumpkins, Food, Live Entertainment, Tall Tales, Family Fun, and much more! The Chamber promotes the Pumpkin Festival and helps distribute festival information.
The Pumpkin Wagon is sponsored by the Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber members serve pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin pie, pumpkin donuts, and water. Members volunteer in the wagon and become known as "Celebrity Servers." This is great advertisement for your business as you get to meet many people as they come to the wagon for their treats.
Christmas in the Ville is held in Downtown Barnesville. This 2 day event encourages businesses and crafters to set up in our downtown to make a fun event for our community. The highlight of this event is the Lighted Christmas Parade.
