The flower baskets hanging from the lamp posts in Barnesville last year were a result of the individuals and businesses who generously sponsored those. We are greatly appreciative to all of you who contributed last year – YOU made this happen! Out of 51 available lamp posts, we decorated 42, nearly doubling the year before. We are again asking for your contributions to keep this program going.
Sponsors are again needed for the baskets to decorate the lamp posts along the streets of downtown Barnesville. Cost is $400 per basket for a first time participant and $250 per basket for a continuing participant. The initial cost includes the purchase of one “weekender” basket, shipping, planting, watering and maintenance. Those who have already participated and purchased a basket will only pay for this year’s planting and maintenance. Fruits of Life will plant and maintain the baskets for a summer display that should carry us from May through September. The Village of Barnesville hangs and removes the baskets for us.
We are asking all business to consider participating in this beautification project. All sponsors will be acknowledged. Forms may be picked up at the Chamber office. Checks should be made payable to “Barnesville Chamber of Commerce – Flower Basket Fund.” Baskets will be planted in April and ready to hang around Memorial Day.
